Louisiana Post Production Workers Assemble: Open Invite Post Meetup at Zony Mash Beer Project on August 25th
Imagine the Avengers team arriving suavely at a bar where they stroll up casually with their suits and shields and throw perfectly placed witty barbs at each other. The post-production meetup at Zony Mash Beer Project on Friday, August 25th is just like that, except the superheroes are more like gaffers dragging coils of cable and VFX artists wearing GoPros.
And everyone is from Louisiana.
Post-production workers from all backgrounds are invited to gather for an evening of professional camaraderie for round two of the Louisiana Post Up LA meetups. From VFX Coordinator and this month’s event organizer Maggie Groh:
Happy Tuesday all! Next Friday, August 25th we will have our second Post Up get-together! This time it will be at Zony Mash Beer Project. We have a space from 6:45-9 p.m. but it is an open beer garden so the hours can be flexible if you want to stay and hang!
The venue on Fridays also has games for the public and a food pop-up [called] “Sanguiche.” Looking forward to seeing you all August 25th!
The Zony Mash Beer Project is in Mid-city, New Orleans at 3940 Thalia Street inside the historic Gem Theater. Zony Mash has 11 beers on tap and the Sanguiche food truck pop-up will be outside serving some of the best sandwiches in New Orleans.
Attendees are not encouraged to actually wear coils of cable and GoPros. Your personalities and an appetite for good conversation are all that’s necessary.
