NOVAC will hold its CRESCENT CINEMA night of “Swamp Screams” on October 26th at Gallier Hall in New Orleans, and invites its Louisiana horror filmmakers to submit narrative and documentary short films by September 29th.

Director and Editor Misty Talley will host the workshop “Editing Theory in Practice” at the NOVAC campus in New Orleans on Thursday, March 2nd. The “Editing Theory in Practice” workshop is an intermediate course and will cover editing theory, analyzing coverage, cutting compelling conversations, creating tension, coherent action beats, and even editing with VFX plates. The session will also focus on helping filmmakers improve their Adobe Premiere Pro skills.
This Wednesday night, December 14th, at NOVAC in New Orleans, documentary filmmaker Darcy McKinnon will lead a workshop that will help equip filmmakers with tools that can help make the financial process easier.
